Frequently asked questions
How much can I trust the report?
The report is generated by AI and can be wrong. That is why every finding comes with its quote from your text; a finding whose quote cannot be found in your text is left out of the report. The report does not replace the judgment of your advisor or committee.
Is my thesis stored or used to train models?
The file you upload is not stored. The extracted text is kept for 7 days so it can be shown on the report screen, then deleted. The text is sent to the language model only to produce your report and is not used for model training. You can delete your report yourself at any time.
Is this a plagiarism or AI-detection report?
No. It does not run a similarity check, and it does not comment on whether your text was written with AI. It assesses the academic content of your work: argument, method, findings, literature and references.
What do I see in the free pre-check?
The reference pre-check: citations that appear in the text but not in the reference list, references that are listed but never cited, and publications with no match in Crossref. The full report adds the content assessment and the committee questions on top of that.
Which files can I upload?
PDF and Word (DOCX). One upload covers a document of up to 150 pages; longer documents count as one upload for every 150 pages. Scanned PDFs, meaning PDFs that contain no text, are not supported yet.
What happens if the report is not completed?
If the report cannot be completed for a technical reason, your upload is returned to you. For a pack you have not used at all, you can request a refund within 14 days.
